Update: Get ready for the Padfone 2 launch event live stream!

According to the official Asus Padfone 2 page the launch event of the Padfone 2 will be broadcasted live from this page at October 16 at 11am (Milan, UTC +2).

It's expected that the Padfone 2 will be released short after this launch event. We will keep you up-to-date if we know more!

If you look at the teasers on the page it seems like the Padfone Station will be changed, and it looks like it's going to be thinner than the current Padfone Station.

Also, Asus Taiwan has changed their cover photo on their facebook page, so it looks like Asus is really expecting a lot from this event/device.

On October 16, just before the launch event, we will open our Padfone 2 forums so that everyone can discuss about this new device!

Update: One of our users tipped is that Asus Poland posted about the Padfone 2 on their facebook page. They say that it will be available in Poland in December. Keep checking this post for minor updates about the Padfone 2!

Very little chance that it will be backwards compatible...
If you look at the teaser images, you can see that the back and home buttons have more spacing in between them, that probably means that the 4.7" screen rumour is true?

Padfone Infinity (A80, Titanium Gray Sample Unit, 32GB, International/WW) owner since: 14-06-2013 (Back to Asus since 05-07-13)
New Padfone Infinity (A86, Titanium Black, 32GB, Taiwan/CHT) + TransKeyboard owner since 03-03-14, hard bricked itself on 24-12-15, replaced with new NPFI 32GB on 17-01-16, this one (soft)bricked itself on 31-01-17, received new one on 15-02-2017, died within an hour due to partition issues.

Ciao Francesco; al momento ti posso solo dire che sono uno degli invitati alla presentazione del padfone2 a Mi martedì mattina.
Dalle mie informazioni il prodotto dovrebbe arrivare in 150pcs nel mese di dicembre; noi ne abbiamo preallocati 10. Considera che il Padfone non sarà dismesso.....
prezzo approx. inotrno ai 1000€ adesso capisci perchè lo lasciano in commercio

Hello Frank, at the moment I can only say that I am one of the guests at the presentation of padfone2 to me Tuesday morning.
From my information the product should arrive 150pcs in December, we do have preallocated 10. Considers that the Padfone will not be abandoned .....
The price will be about € 1000 (euros) now you understand why they leave it on the market

Comments: 1 Registered: 22 Aug : 07:55	I think I will just stick with padfone 1....and see if it's going to be better after JB's update or not. For padfone 2, I don't like it very much.....no micro-sd, no keyboard dock and the price is way too high. The things I like are the software (dictation thing lol) the weight and redesign on station.
