All of a sudden, my padfone 2 only has emergency call function, when dock in the station, it shows intelligent mode, can power off, reboot, airplane mode, clock and time is running, wifi is on, but cannot swipe the screen, nothing moves, no other functions and apps, what happens? Does this mean the phone die?

Mine is now doing exactly the same.
What was the answer, how did you get it too work???

Hi
I contacted Asus Support.
Only answer is a factory reset or return to then for Service £45+VAT+Courier. For inspection and estimate of repair.

Factory reset
Power off phone,
leave for 10 seconds to ensure Power Off buzz happens.

Hold down Volume down key, press power On
As soon as a short menu on the screen appears RELEASE BOTH KEYS
Press Volume up until "1. Enter recovery mode" is highlights
Press Power button once
Wait 10 seconds, during that time find a magnifying glass.
Press Volume down twice to highlight "wipe data/Factory reset"
Then select all "yes"

Away it goes and re-installs Android software.
Sorry you have lost all your contacts etc
