Some devices had a tool that allow the owners to change the IMEI!Someone know if there is something similar for Padfone?Semo of us needs that for unlock the bootloader inasmuch Asus don't take care of its consumer. Thanks to all!
I know that is illegal but on my Padfone case there is my original IMEI and if they don't change it in their servers is not our fault. There are too many people with the MB changed. They change MB for everything.I think Asus was a serious company but tha matter of fact is that they aren't.
try to register your device on the device tracker site. www.devicetracker.asus.com when you enter your phone's serial number does it accept it? just found out about this site a couple of days ago, and guess what, it doesn't accept mine although the serial number remains the same..
i just hunged up the phone with the greek asus support and the guy (really helpfull by the way) is gonna contect the service center AGAIN giving them this information too. earlier i recieved a email from them that i replied in the same manner, but i though i should contact them them directly too.
I tried to tell them that the device tracker didn't work! But first they didn't know there is the Device Tracker(LOL)and second they say that Asus didn't give software support(????)but only hardware support! @Kostas can you give me a PM with the e-mail for trying to contact Asus Greece please?Asus Italy is a complete disaster!!I hope someone at Asus read all this!!
00800441420445555 it's toll free try that but i would prefer if you didn't mention me. just explain them that you don't get support from ASUS ITALY, that should be enough if they can get involved
Do you have an e-mail of them?I tried to change the IMEI with the Terminal Emulator but didn't work.In the next days i try with a software for Windows.I tell you all if that works. At the same time i try to contact Asus directly.I hope in a solution. Thanks to all.

No way for changing IMEI. I must write the EEPROM.Someone can tell me a way to do that?
You won't be able to do that without soldering, ane you need to know what you do for this... There is surely some kind of maintenance mode for engineer, but I don't have any information on that, and I am maybe wrong...
On a stock android you must write on the EEPROM with Terminal Emulator...And any program that made the backup of the IMEI made the same. The problem is understanding how it work and where it write...
I tried some stuff for changing IMEI.I made a backup with VEGA IMEI tool and try to change the two img files with a HEX editor but no luck.Someone other is trying something for this.I can't believe nothing can be done for this issues!
