I've had the pfi for a month now and everything was perfect until last week The screen no longer transfer to the station after draining the station battery... this is what happened...
1. Discharged padfone station completely into padfone 2. charged padfone station 3. inserted padfone: station lights up but screen remains black with backlight on sometimes shows white noise lines and glitches *tactile interface works as well as volume and power* 4. tried factory reset and charging to 100% both batteries 5. ordered mydp cable to test padfone mydp display port (has not arrived yet) additional information: a. after removing phone from station, normally no circle and padphone is very slow for 15seconds b. in about padphone, padphone station version says: "not available" (is that normal on all devices?

I have also same kind of problem. After the latest update (which was yesterday) the station doesn't work. I can still see the light coming from phone screen when it's docked. And when i try to push power button on the tablet the red light blinks but nothing happens. I also tried factory reset wipe data, charging both to full but nothing seems working. But when the phone is closed and docked into station i can open the telephone by pressing tablet power button a long time but still only the phone opens no response from tablet. Any ideas or should i just go for the warranty?
Insert your phone into the station and press the station power button until everything resets then power on the station , let it boot then remove the phone. You should be good now.
I also tried but mine is not working too and to reflash i need to download RU version but unfortunately the link in the asus site is broken, just RU version
I had/have this issue. It must be a docking station issue though not a phone issue. You can test by just holding the button that detects the phone in (in the phone slot) and the LED on the tablet will flash a few times. Mine also stopped taking a charge at the same time - sent it back to ASUS Taiwan for repair about 6 weeks ago. Nothing back yet.

You should try stop " Padfone Station Assist" service and then just connect your station. It worked for me, I have The new Padfone Infinity 32G. Once upon a time I just disconnected station and phone show me error in system service, then station stopped working, just black screen with back light. After phone restart nothing changed, but service restart helped with no errors and it's working ok, also I didn't reboot phone after stop.

I think this is because station connected with HDMI with session state, and session state re-generated when you stop service, and just erase possibly don't clear needed data, you need to force stop service and let it re-genereate new session state

Had the same problem and sent the phone to asus sweden, got it back after 9 days and it works. The problem was the contakt on the phone, the report says " Testing the docking connector, no contact on pins 1 and 2. Cleaned docking connector. Functional test, ok"
