This is very strange, I was using my phone (Playing game) happily until I notice that my battery started to drop to 1%. So thinking that my phone is low on juice, I plugged it to the charger. Anyway, after long charging, the phone still says 1%. I know there was something wrong so I proceed to restarting my phone.
Stuck at the Asus logo boot screen, I decide to do a soft reset. And now my phone is just dead like the phone is brick.

When dock with tablet mode, red/ember flashing light appear. Tried to turn on, and red/ember light carry on to flash.

Anybody having the same problem? Or just hardware failure

Fyi: Stock firmware

Sounds like your phones battery or charging circuit is dead... Only way to solve that is to contact Asus and send it back I guess...

That's what I was thinking too... Let's hope it's not going to happen to more Infinity's...

Got my phone fix at the service center. Send in on a wed and got it back on the sat.

Ask the service what the problem is, they say "there was a lose wire that cause the phone not able to power on."
Sounds strange but got my phone fixed

?how do you disconnect a wire in a case?

That's nice service imo...

And everything is possible in electronics, if the wire was not properly connected during the production process it could disconnect by any movement...

i think this is unormal power consumption or unormal voltage telorance protection . in samsung devices when i flashed bad firmware kernel to cell phone completly dead not respond to anything samsung solution is remove battery and stay for 30min after 30min replace battery power on and every thing is ok ,in padfone infinity we cant remove battry u must standby for 2 or 3 dayes battery completly drain . this is a kind of power protection i hope ur pfi live again

same thing happened to mine. when i bought it, we did not have the chance to test it because the battery is too low. The guy from starhub said that i should charge it first for 8 hours on the dock simultaneously. so i did, i was able to sync my contacts and change some of my settings. then when i tried the music player, it died. I thought the battery drained so i charged it again. BUT IT WON'T OPEN.

When i first turned it on, it asked me to update, so i did.

I DIDN'T GET TO TRY IT FIRST AND IT JUST DIED.

I was surfing on mine, was trying to bookmark. Whole phone froze. Had to power off. Since than the phone is bricked. Put in to station results in flashing amber. Hopefully is just a faulty connector, a lot of my kids photos in the phone and no where else! Sending to service center tomorrow for them to look in to it. Will they be able to also retrieve my data?

Message was editted at 05:35AM:

Just got back from Asus service center. They suspect is either battery or mobo. Will probably be down for a week. Service counter staff mentioned there has been a few cases already. So sad, their QC is failing. PF1 is still going strong with nary an issue.

Hi all, just an update. I have gotten back the pfi from the service centre and they had to change the motherboard. No explanation given on what caused the motherboard to die. Sigh. Another one of those things.
