Let's start with the download link:

https://mega.co.nz/#!MwgllC5Q!cSABQBaHEy69XmemUC3gcnB4kTEUMJuJ-G_adXaNeY8

To flash it, you will need to be in fastboot mode, which means first unlocking your bootloader using the ASUS Unlock tool found here:

http://www.asus.com/Tablets_Mobile/PadFone_Infinity/#support_Download

You will also need the adb and fastboot binaries for your particular operating system.

Once the bootloader is unlocked, reboot into fastboot mode by turning on USB debugging, connecting your phone via USB cable and running 'adb reboot-bootloader'.

From fastboot, you can run the recovery image without flashing it by issuing 'fastboot boot recovery.img'.

Once you're happy to flash permanently, do the following:

1. Flash the recovery image with 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'
2. Boot to it with 'fastboot boot recovery.img'
3. From TWRP, on your phone, mount the /system partition
4. Load the file manager from within TWRP and delete or rename the /system/recovery-from-boot.p file. If you do not do this step, the stock android recovery will overwrite TWRP whenever you reboot.

Congratulations, you now have TWRP on your Padfone Infinity!

For those interested, here's the cyanogenmod device config I'm using the build the recovery. https://github.com/perkz/andoid_device_asus_A80
It should also be enough to build the stock Cyanogemod/CWM recovery

I flashed the official wwe ota update and TWRP is still there. I flashed the update through TWRP, should I try another method?

install official firmware ending in .29 through twrp, then download the latest firmware ending in .32 and place it on your SD. Thenreboot the phone, and install through update notification when android see that there is a update available. This should put you back at stock recovery. it worked for me.

hello everyone.

im having trouble getting into fastboot, when i do "adb devices" it shows up, but when i go "adb reboot-bootloader" the phone just boot up as usual. "fastboot boot recovery.img" and it says "waiting for device" and nothing happens.

i've done this before but for some reason the phone died so i sent it in for repair and then i got it back stock unrooted etc. boot loader should be unlocked (i dont know how to confirm this though, but i've run the unlocker tool), and i have root. i just cant get it into fastboot. any help would be awsome.
thanks.

and also im using minimal adb and fastboot, since it worked like a charm last time.^^

Try "adb reboot bootloader", without the "-" between "reboot" and "bootloader".

As for the "fastboot boot recovery.img", it's normal, this command will only work when you're in fastboot mode (with the command "adb reboot bootloader").

Thanks for the reply, but didn't work, it just reboots as usual.
i was wondering maybe my bootloader wasnt unlocked but i have run the app and i also got the "unlock_time.txt" in the internal storage, which i believe is from running the unlock device tool app?

i've read that some people had trouble unlocking the padfone 1 after getting it repaired, where they had to install a new motherboard on the phone, which caused the bootload unlocker not to recognise the device. but then again it seems they have a different way of unlocking it aswell, just a thought since it seems kinda similar to my problem.

i tried running the unlock device tool app again to see what happened and i get "an unknown error has occured, which may be a network connection issue. try again later."
