Once upon a time there was a quad-core Snapdragon 400 Padfone Mini, but now there is a dual-core Atom Z2560 Padfone Mini too.

Be careful which one you buy on the Internet!

This information needs to be verified:

4.3" 960x540 display -> Snapdragon 400
4.0" 800x480 display -> Atom Z2560

Stupidy started with the "New" Padfone Infinity.
Let me know when you will try to buy the new Padfone and you will finish buying an old New Padfone Infinity.
What about a new Padfone Infinity on eBay? I mean a brand-new A80 Padfone.
Thank you Asus to inherit Apple stupidity!

there are different marketing names for these 2 devices in TW, one is PadFone mini 4.3, the other is PadFone mini.

4.3" screen size w/ Qualcomm solution
4" screen size w/ Intel solution

Perhaps the ARM-version is launched to pick up if the Intel fails? Anyway, i'd love to have a Mini actually. I have a 1st gen PadFone now, and i really like the size of it.

The only thing i don't like about the Mini, is the station/dock. Sure i want a smaller phone, but why would i want a smaller tablet because of that?

A 4.3" phone and a 10" tablet is my preference. Also, they should make a keyboard again. O perhaps a keyboard sleeve at least.

Hello

I've receive the new padfone mini last week (intel version 4").

During update (without rootkit !) to the official update Asus, i've softbrick the device.
They are no recovery mode in the droidboot menu (possible to edit in xml file ?)
Only the fastboot menu is ok (no the adb).
OEM unlock in not supported.

conclusion : brick and no CWM or TWRP recovery/boot available

Test with many files from Zenfone4, but signKey not good and i don't know how change key and rebuild the .img

Waiting feedback to test all solutions and start the doc over this forum
