I am seriously considering really splashing out on a NPFI with the docking station and the transkeyboard.
I currently use a tf701t android/laptop which I am looking to replace along with my sony xperia t phone with the NPFI and keyboard.
I do not have anywhere to use the setup on a desk though I am interested how the transkeybaord performs on the lap, sitting or laying down using the unit. I much prefer the original padfone keyboard with a nice solid hinge, but seems ridiculous to buy such an old piece of hardware, I would feel like I was going backwards
I have previously used a sony xperia z tablet and the lack of keyboard just made the whole experience hard work for me as I find myself typing a lot on forums or emails.
So I moved to the tf701 which works great, but I fancy an upgrade of phone but cant justify the cost, so the NPFI seems the perfect choice to upgrade phone and computer at the same time, but I need the keyboard to work on the lap and be nice and solid not falling down every couple of minutes.
Any advice anyone can give me would be appreciated if anyone can advise a better keyboard please do so.
there is someone on the forums that is using the transkeyboard with a PFI, but he sill hasn't replied to me with some findings or pics, but \I know he likes it...
I just came home a couple of minutes ago from visiting some stores looking for a nice BT keyboard... I went to get one form y NPFI, but came home with one for my PC (since I really ne3eded a new one for that as well), so \I didn't find one for the | NPFI, is I'm probably getting the transkeyboard as well... \It seems to be the far most best solutio...
Yeah thanks I found that keyboard post and that's what led me towards the transkeyboard.
I can see it will work perfectly when sat at a table, but I use a laptop/ tablet because I don't have dedicated table, if I did think id just use a desktop hehe
Its a lot of money for me to spend for the phone, station and keyboard so really want to make sure its the right decision before jumping in.
you can get it for 60EUR on ebay (but bear in mind that you most likely also need to pay taxes if you import it)... But from what I see from looking around on the internet, and today phyiscially using some BT keyboards which were tagged at 80EUR, the TransKeyboard is the best I think... All keyboards I've had in my hands today (with dedicated stands) were not worth the money at all, they were pretty fragile, something the TransKeyboard most likely isn't... Plus it has it's own cover! I really like it
But I think I'm gonna wait until I actually have my NPFI (probably somewhere next week)...
Edit: I'm sorry for my bad typing, but I'm still getting used to my new keyboard XD
Hi, just like Robb I also would like to use transkeyboard. Just thinkin' how does it look like with PFI or NPFI. SparkyRih - could you upload some photos, when you receive your NPFI and transkeyboard? Also share your thoughts how does it work.... Thanx

How well does it work on your lap? I tend to use my padfone dock either in my recliner or in bed.
No it won't work at all on your lap, but you'll have that issue with any "third-party/case"-keyboard, if you can find one that does I'll eat my TransKeyboard
It does work great on stable flat surfaces, still have to get used to the way I have to type on that, but I'm a rapid typist, so I take some time to get to that pass on any new keyboard...
