I don't really trust that, why do they have an entire website dedicated to a root method screaming to use their method?
feel more comfortable with a method written en talked about on XDA...

Edit: I've used this method, and I'm rooted

Saferoot from xda worked on my NPFI WW 10.12.3.111 and it even allows rooting from linux - yay.
But the install.sh script had a minor problem, it stated
#!/bin/sh
at the beginning, which caused it to not completely work.
Changing to #!/bin/bash solved the problems and I am rooted without kingo and from linux.
