I was happily using it for a sat nav and all of a sudden it rebooted and would loop at the animated asus logo. Turns out a friend was trying to ring me around the time it died so I guess rather than a phone call a boot loop was in order.
Got it into recovery and factory reset and wipe cache and still dead.
Flashed latest ROM and it got to optimising apps and the screen just went blank, after 20 mins turned it off and now it does this:
I still have 3 A86's laying here... The second one died the same way as yours (only, I was taking a picture when it started happening)... The first one just died: end of story And the third one had some write issues (couldn't remove any data from the previous owner), when trying to fix that, I messed up the partitions...
Never fixed any of them anymore, so I moved on to the Asus Zenfoe 3 Deluxe...
My first generation Padfone is till holding strong though
Also, my dad still has an A86, still on Android 4.4, I suspect it's due to the Android 5.0 ROM messing something pup very bad...
