I think he's looking for the CHT version, and I've never saved that one...

I shall have copys of the CHS CHT full firmware, let me know what version you all need, i try upload to some cloud storage later part of the day

Could you upload and post them for Neumaennl please? I will grab them and also mirror them permanently on our servers...

Edit: isn't V9.18.8.41(CHT) the rootable version? it's still on the Asus site... I'm downloading it now in case it is removed in the future...

I was looking for the WW version and I'm flashing the one from your servers now.

EDIT: http://download.schattorie.nl/padfoneclub/firmware/full/WW_PadFoneuser9_18_8_41UpdateLauncher.zip was recognized as an update and not a full firmware, so I basically updated the latest firmware fith an old firmware and my Padfone doesn't like this at all!
All my apps and settings are still present (which probably shouldn't be after flashing a full firmware) and it' constantly showing error messages about all the processes that are not working, like phone and android core
I'll try updating again with the update to the latest firmware and I hope everything will work again. If not them I'm screwed.
Before you ask: I did everything according to http://www.padfoneclub.com/pl/content/content.php?content.15

EDIT2: so I'm back at the latest firmware and everything is working again (PHEW!) but the whole purpose of the exercise (achieve root) was not met :-/

That new FW is seriously bugging me.
Anyone know how to reflash or flash the old FW back?

There was a Station FW update in version (CHT) V9.18.8.41... If I look in the file I find the same files as in the new update APK...

So, it seems like the problem with my Station after the FW is even worse.
Not only do I have to hit the power button three times to wake it, but also when docked there seems to be a problem with waking the phone at all.
Which means, when I set an alarm, the display won´t light up when it goes off. Or I won´t get message notifications.

The problem with the display no lighting up when the alarm goes off happened to me I think once or twice. It was on latest CHT firmware without the latest APK. Don't know the problem but didn't happen recently.

I don´t suppose there is a way to reset the Station itself?

I don't think so...

Maybe someone can compile a new APK with the old scaler update that I posted about yesterday?

That would be very nice. But I have no idea how do that.

Also, I am not sure if I want to risk bricking my Station. Especially considering my recent experiences with the Asus (un)Support.

Me neither, my Station has to go all the way back to Taiwan, that's gonna take a couple weeks before I get it back

Maybe I will send an e-mail to Asus giving them all the links on this site where people complain about this update...

Maybe I overread it but as I see it, I am the only one complaining.

No you're not, there is even someone who can't get the station to work at all: http://padfoneclub.com/comment.php?comment.news.39

And I seem to have the same issues, but less frequently I guess...

Maybe the wanted to introduce some kind of new unlock-method...but forgot that they need to implement it into the phone´s FW, too.
Just kidding....maybe.
