I did it I would attach some pics as reference, but I had no time to learn how. - very simple to open the cover, just pull on one of two antenna holes and starting from there the cover is pulled up - the cover is fixed to the body thanks to a series of molded plastic clips......and two strips of sellotape...very poor and unreliable as one of them remains on the cover, not being properly attached at factory - the NFC antenna on the cover is electrically connected thanks to two spring contacts facing NFC antenna pads once the cover is firmly closed; who has problem with NFC may try to check if spring contacts works or somehow they are squezeed down not contacting antenna pads - it seems dust comes from the headphone jack, which is widely open, then penetrates inside camera space from inside; at this stage it is not possible to confirm 100% cos the camera back cannot be inspected. As a containment action, I have added a small piece of adhesive rubber all around the jack hole to limit dust penetration - if SIM cover is well inserted, I believe normal dust cannot penetrate - camera lens looks properly sealed; all around camera body there is a sort of black plastic gasket, with adhesive on side facing the body, but it is not sealed to the body, who knows why....., I did not touch for now - before remount cover, I have changed sellotape with a new one, more professional and thicker to make a better adhesion and avoid noisy creaking while handling the phone
That's all for now, unfortunately very few suggestions, not resolutive I believe....
Impression from inside confirms that core body included screen seem robust and reliable, while the back cover and finishing is not at same engineered level, like a prototype still to be heavily improved
Finally attached one pic from my PF2 interior. Seems quite clear that any dust coming through headphone jack can penetrate camera space. To check 100% situation mother board would be dismounted, but before doing that I prefere warranty expires......
Also attached pic of sellotape present on plastic frame fixing back cover.....
Based on the posts in this thread, I've taken the precaution of limiting any possible dust entry through the headphone socket by getting one of these plastic plugs through eBay.
I never use the headphone socket, so it's now become a permanent fixture in my 'phone - but the ring tab at the end protrudes about 5mm from the body so you can easily pull it out when you need to use headphones.
I've opened the back cover and removed all screws to get into the camera. Turns our the lens cover pops out by removing screws at the top part of the phone. I cleaned the lens cover and put it back and now I have a clean lens. Although, my phone is working fine, I do not take any responsibility for other people doing this and damaging their phone.
Hi kz, thanks for the reply. So i should be able to clean the lens cover by unscrewing the top part of the phone? does that mean that the warranty will not be voided? Since the warranty sticker is on the screw that's around the centre
Using torx screwdriver to remove 6 screws at the top and gently lift the inside cover. The lens cover is sandwiched between the inside cover and the camera. So you only need a torx screwdriver and tweezers.
You don't need to remove the screw under the sticker but I think the warranty is void in this process.

Is that means only removing the screws at the top part instead of all, the camera cover will pop out?
As the service centre is far away from my home, i would like to clean it by myself.
A word of warning (based on my experiences with cameras), don't use tissues or ordinary cloth to clean the lens!
Pop into your local photography shop and buy a pack of microfibre lens cleaners; they're only a couple of dollars for a five-pack.
You might also want to invest in a "blower bulb," which the photography shop will also sell. If they don't, you can pop into an electronics hobby shop and get their cheapest "solder sucker," which will do exactly the same job.
This allows you to blow air at the lens to dislodge any remaining dust, without risking blowing spittle on it if you blow using your mouth (you might not be able to see it, but there will be spittle and it'll make the lens even worse).
Also, without a sort of custom gasket, cannot prevent new dust penetration, so this means that every two/three months need to dismount the phone again, and again.......
