Any lawyer here ?

No, Android devices are too complex for lawyers' brains to comprehend, so they stick to iPhones

Here in Sweden Asus gladly fixes the problem for free, though it needs to be sent to a service center which takes five days.

AS i bought it on eBay in Taïwan, it's not under international warranty.
I have to bring the padfone o a service center in Dubaï, they will make a Quotation to fix the problem!!!!

Internatinal class action isn't even heard of in my country, and I am a lawyer. Best think to do, ask for repairs or a refund. That is all. Stop watching Suits and Boston Legal.

Yeah Italy sucks.
No but seriously though, you're angry because they're repairing your pad?

Obvious irony.
You never read the other part? "No but seriously though"

I can't see the point of being mad about the fact that they are reparing it. Most of the companies handle RMA this way and most of them tell you this when you read there terms of service.

I have the choice!!!
Either pay to fix the problem in Dubaï
Or send it back to Taïwan and waste 3 weeks at least....

Just curious, anyone sent in your pf2 to remove the dust in cam problem?
In any case, does the problem regenerates again?

I see one comment in G+ saying exactly that. The problem is back after a few hours/days.

Finally have the time as well as the tools to open my padfone2.

Just as indicated here: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Asus+Padfone+2+Screen+Replacement/12668/1, you need at least a T5 screw driver and some plastic opener.

It works if you follow the instruction in the above page up to instruction #5. And you will be able to clean your camera. Now my camera is crystal clear again. Unfortunate thing is i have as well broken my warranty (who cares, who ever need to repair phones if they work the first week).

Two things to be mindful when reassembling:
1. you need to fit the Charger jacket first as the jacket and the inner cover needs to lock against each other.
2. there is something just above the battery that could dislocate and could bulge out if not careful.

Toolset show below:

That's all i can tell... good luck guys... i still like my padfone 2.

I have the same problem, i just got my phone for less than 3 months but the lens was so full of dust that i can barely take photo.

The other problem I have is so far it's so hard to get accessories, I finally got a leather cover from China TaoBao, can't find a single being sold in Hong Kong. Bad.

Other than that, everything works fine with the phone.

I probably won't buy anymore Asus phone but stick back to my Samsung in the future...

Also found this here, may be useful, will try myself later...
