Hello everyone.
If I perform a factory reset, even via the recovery, I lose all data and settings, but what about updates? What firmware's version I found after the reset?
Thanks in advance.
Ciao!
Stefano

Is there the possibility to restore the firmware that I found when I bought the phone?
Thanks in advance.
Ciao!

Hello everyone.
I have done the reset and the wipe via recovery and I can confirm that the phone is still at the last update.

Now I have a big problem: I wanted to reset the phone because I can no longer flashing another firmware because it does not mount the /sdcard partition when I start the recovery:

E: failed to mount /sdcard (no such files or directory).

I wanted to bring it back to the old firmware to root it and then install a pure CHT or WW firmware.

Now I am condemned to remain with the current 4.0.4 and wait for my brand TIM releases the upgrade to JB ...

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance!
Stefano

You can copy the firmware to an external sd-card, or into /cache folder and install from there

Yes, you are right, but I have another "little" issue: my ext sdcard don't longer work since the second update... that's why I was obliged to root the phone to update it at 4.0.4... but I have lost root... so I can't access either to the cache folder...

If you put an SDcard bigger than 32Go, it doesn't be reconized for update. I had the problem and solved it in this way.

I tried with 2, 4, 8 and 32GB, from Sandisk and others... nothing to do! But it worked before!
No problem with the dock.
