Most important there is pretty much no gain in terms of usability.

No keyboard or digitizer so you can't really take notes on it. I was considering getting Nexus 4 and VivoTab (or something from the competition) instead for PF2 (for the same price), and now I see that they just want PF series to be just an expensive, pretty and semi useless series... And we have apple to do that.

Same here... Just payed 970 euros for the device and 3 months later they gonna sell a newer one :S

The onyl upgrade is the screen and soc. I don't mind. I prefer this size compared to 5 inch.

Hehe.. Now I havent owned a padfone 1, but you gotta admit. The jump/gap between Pf1 and PF2 was HUGE, between PF2 and PF3 its like - a bit faster processor and a cool design/material, better screen obviously.

Honestly, I don´t. IMO it´s the same jump from PF1 to PF2 as it is now to PF3.

I dont think PF2 owners should feel bad. Honestly you dont gain that much, major thing is the station display.

Even today I would choose the PF2 beacause it's at least 200EUR cheaper, you get a smartphone and not a phablet and the station2 resolution is perfectly acceptable.

Colours: "Titanium Gray / Champagne Gold / Hot Pink" - yep, they're definitely targetting the Apple market of teenage girls!

As for the product itself...

True HD is nice, but with my aging eyes I can't even see the pixels on an 800x480 display, so it'd be a waste. And 5" is too big to comfortably use; I'd really prefer a 4.3" or 4.5" 'phone.

The extra clock speed is nice but it's only useful to show off with; I haven't come anywhere near using the S4Pro in the PadFone2 to even half its performance capacity.

The design looks like it'd be a little more robust (or at least feel that way) than the PadFone2, but it looks waaaay too much like an iPhone for my liking - expect to see an Apple lawsuit some time soon.

Judging by those pics, it looks like they again left out any connectors to a possible keyboard.

I just don´t get it...

This Padfone Infinity will might have a hard time to convince consumers it's a good buy.

Because if your price point is 800eur (like the PF2) you only have to pay extra 50-100eur more than what you would pay for a high end smartphone, yet you would get all the advantages of the padfone concept. But with the 1000eur price point you have to give considerably more money for those advantages.

What do you guys think?

5 inch is not comfortable. and why make it bigger screen when you can transform it to a much bigger screen.

just got my pf2 last month >_< but i dont feel bad.. yet

so long as the support continues!!

I'm disappointed again... I mean it looks great, but why do you need a 5" screen if you have a 10.1" dock... + it has no keyboard dock again + this price is really high imo :S

BTW, We've also openeed the Padfone Infinity General forums for you guys to start discussions about this device...
