cool design, not much difference to PF2... I think the price is too high, they should have waited longer to release it.. Not enough difference between them
To bad they went for a 5" screen, I think its to big when you have a pad to follow the fone.. Would love a 4,5" fullHD but I'll stick to my 4,7" - see no reason to by Infinity if you got the PF2
No reason to buy if you have the PF2. Still no keyboard dock, still only 1 rear ending speaker for the station and really not that much of a difference between PF2 and this.
First impression: The build looks amazing, love the new colors and the aluminum shine, really classy! Specs are great and they seem to make the camera good under low light settings, can't wait to see actual pictures
Disappointments: Exorbitant price (guess you pay for the high specs), no keyboard dock, no storage expansion slot, now uses nano-Sim (means even Padfone 2 users who plan to upgrade need to get a new SIM)
I like Asus and I love my Padfone 2, but this was a pretty bad move from Asus in my opinion, the Padfone 2 JUST got available world wide, so they're not gonna expand their audience. Other than the materials, specs and screen, there is no difference between this and the Padfone 2 so if you have the Padfone 2 there is no real reason to spend 1000 bucks(!) for improved specs, bigger/better screen/ better build quality and a 0.1 software update (that in my opinion is even worse than 4.1 but that's another topic) that will be old by the summer when 5.0 is released
On a positive note though, the Padfone 2 will probably drop in price when this becomes available, so that's good
Edit: Btw I was expecting Asus to have the snapdragon 800 and not the 600, considering the previous Padfone's had the latest and greatest I was expecting this one to have it aswell
The bad 1) Too DAMN B*I*G! What's it with Android manufacturers building bigger and bigger phones and forgetting completely those who would like a good phone that could be used with a single hand. If this development continues in Android and WP devices, I'll have to change to iPhone... *shudders*
2) Nothing really new.
3) Still no keyboard.
I'll just stick with my PF1. Maybe Canonical can whip up something that sparks my interest.
I hate that there's no micro sd slot and no white color. And the price is also too steep. If pf2 gets cheaper because of this, i might consider pf2. But spec wise, i'm thinking of upgrading from pf1 to this
Meh who needs micro SD.. Learn to use the webstorage for anything but movies and apps..
i paid only 640 euro for my PF2.. New one is 999 euro.. Pretty pricey.. I would probably have bought it, if i didnt have the PF2.. But I am actually kinda dissapointed in a company I have SO much respect for. They released it too soon. They should have went for an octocore in the falls.

Oh yeah. No microSD either... I guess I'll have to place my hopes on Canonical whipping up something worthy to be called an imorovement over PF1.
You know, after getting both Padfones last year I really don't have anything nice to say about Asus right now. If Padfone 2 was marginaly worth the switch, this has got to be a joke. It's huge. I don't really like 2 as it is too big, but this is really too big. Build quality looks ok, but the specs are similar. You won't see any speed difference I bet, 200 Mhz is not noticeableand the ram is the same so I don't get why they released it. Bad idealaunching 3 products intended for the same target in the span of just one year
When first-generation Samsung Galaxy Note came out, it's dubbed the phablet as nobody could fathom having a 5" phone, now they're increasing screen size bit by bit and today we have the Galaxy Note 8 and Asus Fonepad. However, I do think it's unnecessary Asus upped the size of the phone. If I needed a larger screen, I can always add the Pad Station, but if I don't, then I really just want something I can pocket. This "Padphablet" to me is just redundant.
Maybe Asus is trying to keep competitive with the current trends of smartphones and tablets by releasing the Padfone Infinity? Like, if you want the latest and greatest of tech, super premium and expensive just buy the Padfone Infinity. And hopefully they will continue to offer the PF2, maybe e cheaper, for everyone who wants good specs and the advantages of the concept.
