they are slow in everything..now they say will repair my 1month later since i give them 2months ago...what a company!

Depends on where you live. In Sweden it's company policy that if a repair covered by your warranty exceeds a time frame of three weeks, they offer you a full refund.

Sent mine last week to official ASUS assistance in Italy. After two days they sent me a report about visual inspection claiming some scratches on back cover and front glass.
After one day they sent me a report stating scratches may be due to normal use not affecting functionality.
Today received a report stating that repair has officially started.
Let's see what is going on.....

Happened to me 12-July about a week after latest firmware update causing the phone to be hot always.

Press the down and power button at the same time till it boot...suppose to have a choice whether to do factory reset or just normal boot.

Waiting for ASUS to release fix...

Finally got back my padfone 2 in working condition after 4 months and 4 times sending it to Asus Saudi. Motherboard was replaced but SE installed test firmware. Returned to Asus Saudi and it came back still with test firmware and broken charging port for both phone and tablet. Paid SAR500 to fix and the installed correct firmware but could not update via OTA and detected network. Fourth time the charm..came back this morning and it is in working order..I do hope no more major issues..

brick mode again! It lasted 1 month after Asus repair. Unbelievable! I wonder why they bother trying to fix it to break again.

do any of you guys know how can I revive my Padfone 2 as I have another funcional Padfone 2 in hands? The new one is rooted (with framaroot) but with bootloader locked (I didn't try Unlock.apk yet).

I can't get the new Padfone 2 recognized through QPST Configuration while phone is turned on. Should I unlock bootloader before, then go to fastboot mode to get recognized through QPST? Does QCN extracted with QPST eMMCSoftwareDownload file will help me to revive the dead one?

I don't wish to unlock my bootloader in order to trigger warranty if I need it someday. I already lost my first one with a sudden death and don't want to get my second device in the same way. However if it's the unique way, I'll unlock it.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Guys i have the same problem. When I turn on my phone it shows the welcome screen and it stays there. 10 mins after it shows something in chinese. I asked a friend from China and he told me that it says something about reset the phone etc. I pressed the reset button but nothing happened. I tried to reset the phone by pressing the volume and power button, i chose reset option, the process was completed and when I rebooted the phone it was doing the same thing (showing the welcome screen and stays there until it shows the screen with chinese instructions for reset).

Can anyone help me please?

I have two Padfones 2. One bought from Taiwan and other from expansys. The expansys one (Europe) has the same problem as savvas999 mentioned above. With Taiwan one never face a problem. Only solution, power plus volume - and choose 2, restart without reset. And phone working!
