For a while ( maybe a month or 2 ), when I've slipped the phone into the tablet, *sometimes* the tablet would display a graphic suggesting that I should push the phone further into the tablet. I'd remove it, and put it back in, and things would be fine. Now, removing and replacing it doesn't work. I *always* get the graphic telling me to push the phone into place in the tablet. Also if I remove and replace a couple of times, things get mighty unstable.

Interestingly, the volume rocker on the tablet, and the power button on the tablet, appear to be sending clicks into the phone, because I can hear the volumn go up & down ( and vibrate coming on & off silent ). I can shut the phone down. But the screen doesn't show anything other than that damned graphic.

Any ideas? I'm out of warranty, and ASUS are trying the old "oh ... you bought it from overseas ... well FARK YOU then ... we ... um ... can't source parts for phones bought overseas, because all devices have unique parts that only work with phones sold in a particular country". Bastards.

Hey dkasak,

I'm facing the same problem,
I read it's solved after inserting another Padfone -
i've no idea whether it works since I have no access to another Padfone. Maybe it works for you.

If you find another way, pleaaaaaaseeee contact me

Greetings Lilaperlenkette

Interesting news. I did the KitKat update, and now the tablet is working again. Nice
