if you did root your PFI and removed bloatwares OTA can't be installed

because it's gonna check so many apk, odex, bla bla so you can't do install the OTA correctly on a rooted device which doesn't have the original files

just create /ASUS/Update folder structure on your PFI then put the http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Mobile_Phone/PadFone_Infinity/UL-A80-WW-11.8.10.60-user.zip there (it's for WW version, downloads : http://www.asus.com/Tablets_Mobile/PadFone_Infinity_A80/HelpDesk_Download/)

disconnect the usb cable, you'll see the update file detected message

update and gain root again, now you can remove bloatwares again

no settings or files will be removed in this way because you're on a same base "11.8.10.x"

So,
1. Disable root
2. Create ASUS/Update
3. Update from the .zip
4. Regain root

Is this correct?

you have to use the original ASUS software not a custom rom

i think option 1 is not needed (i don't really remember that i was rooted or not ATM but i did delete so many bloatwares)

option 3 is only for ota files for example http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Mobile_Phone/PadFone_Infinity/WW_PFI_user_11_8_10_24_UpdateLauncher.zip is not OTA and it has the /ASUS/Update structure itself and you have to extract it first then you'll see another big zip file inside it
