Unfortunate thing is i have as well broken my warranty (who cares, who ever need to repair phones if they work the first week).

... unless you have a Samsung Galaxy S3

Thanks for the info, SK39; I'm sure there're quite a few people here who'll be able to make good use of it.

So, you can actually do this withouth voiding the warranty by not removing the battery and the screw beneath the sticker?

Has anyone been able to locate where the dust comes from? Is it lurking in from the headphone jack? I am wondering about buying the PF2 as I like the concept, but the build quality concerns me a bit.

If I could keep the dust out from the camera lens by having a plug on the headphone jack I could live with that.

Thanks.

It seems to all depend on the production run during which it was made, with my suspicion being that it was the earliest production run(s) which exhibited the problem.

I have a plug in the headphone socket full-time, but that's not a definitive solution as I had the 'phone for about a month before inserting the plug, and never had any dust issues on either camera.

From what can be seen opening the back cover, it is quite clear dust comes from the jack and from the not sealed space between plastic and metallic jack ring. I have tried to seal that area with a sort of self made gasket, but have to say that while running or biking dust still penetrates camera lens....

Hi guys! I also HAD this problem until last month I've been able to clean the camera myself without breaking my warranty here in Taiwan. I've been thinking should i do a tutorial for you guys out there cause i know you guys wouldn't want to waste the money to send it back to AUSUS for them do it for you.
Basically what i did was to remove the back cover, and unscrew the top Six screws which sid not have the warranty stickers ,then i remove the camera glass from inside and clean it,though i don't know if the warranty stickers in other countries are different but if it's the taiwan model it should work:-D

Thanks guys. Nice to hear there's still someone who hasn't got dust inside. I wouldn't really want to open the phone say once a month. I do run and bike a lot in the summer and my current phone SGS2 collects dust inside the back cover a lot, but luckily doesn't cause any problems there. Dust aside have had a lot of other issues with my galaxy and feel like switching to other brand.

Padfone infinity looks great too, but I fear it's just too big as a phone for me. =/

Hello everyone! Noticed this problem a few weeks ago, but now its starting to affect picture quality. So now I dont know what to do .
Already returned 2 padfones to my retailer because of bad speaker (1st) and bricked (2nd). Cant really accept that I might have to return another one...

Anyone been in contact with asus-support? Is this anything they can fix over the desk?

Question to those of you who sent it in for a new lense/dust removal.
Did they fix the problem? Or is there new dust on the lense after a while?
